I don't know, I don't feel like there's much going on. At least not enough that anyone else might want to know about.
Yesterday though, I did venture out a bit. I went to the post office, and finally mailed out the baby blanket. I don't want to post pics of it until it's been received though, because otherwise it feels like I'm spoiling her surprise. So, as soon as I hear that, I'll post a picture.
After the post office, I went to the mall. While there, I saw some ponchos in Torrid that I could probably reproduce (in better yarn, natch). Although my camera was at home, I've got the whiz-bang camera phone, which worked. This color's pretty fun, although I liked the purple one they had a bit better. But I figured the pattern would show up better in the pink.

I think that's basically garter stitch for a few rows (6? 12? possibly 5 or 11?), then a row with k1 YO all the way across, then on the next row you drop the YOs. Which is what creates that vertical drop. Right? I've got 750 meters of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, color 607, which seems like a pretty good choice.
Also at Torrid, I saw this shirt that made me think of
unseelie_sidhe (of course):

and then this one that made me think of Emily:

Then later, to Target for some Brita filters, and I remembered to take a picture of the hat I mentioned at SnB this Sunday. You could easily knit this stockinette all around, just use a few yards each of several different yarns, and make sure to get some wacky textures going on:

And I guess that's about all I can think of now.

I LOVE Dar Williams! Particularly that song!
Dar's the best. I was trying to jolt myself out of a funk, so I pulled out Dar and cranked up "Better Things", then "As Cool As I Am", and it really helped a lot. Now I just need a cool hat, and I'm set.
